Selena Gomez's Sophomore album is officially OUT! in all stores in the country. The deluxe edition is available on target and it comes with a bonus DVD and some bonus tracks. so please by the album if you haven't and you can also buy the album on iTunes here. for my opinion this album is much better then the first album because its more mature and has more improvement then the old one.but i also like the old one too. i love all of Selena's songs specially from her a year without rain album, i enjoyed every single song from her album but my top favorite songs were Ghost of you, Rock God, Intuition, Summer's not hot & A Year Without Rain. whats your top favorites from her album a year without rain? you can tell me on the chat box below or on twitter. hope her album make's it to the Billboard's Top 200 Album's. and if you haven't bought the album you should buy it, cause its really worth it.

After all, the girls who emulate Selena's fresh style are the inspiration for her new affordable fashion label, Dream Out Loud for Kmart. "I love Marchesa and Christian Cota, but my everyday look is really casual," she says. "I want my fans to know that these are the kinds of pieces I genuinely wear." The line has also given Selena the perfect opportunity to expand her good works as a UNICEF Ambassador (a position once held by icon Audrey Hepburn): She's arranged for all proceeds from certain pieces in the collection go to the charity.
This fall also marks the release of Selena's second album, A Year Without Rain. "People will be surprised. It's an older and more powerful sound," she explains.
Despite her glam life as a Disney Teen Queen, movie star, singer, and now entrepreneur, the eighteen-year-old has somehow managed to stay grounded. "I still go through what every normal teenager goes through: I am growing up, falling in love, having heartbreak, dealing with friendships. I just don't get a locker or go to prom," she says as we take in the New York City skyline at the Top of the Rock observation deck. "I would love to have those two things."

"A Year Without Rain" finds Selena Gomez (and evidently her band, the Scene) tackling a succession of standard-issue tween-pop topics: how awesome love is ("Off the Chain"), how sucky bad days are ("Intuition") and how powerless we mere mortals are in the face of the devil's music ("Rock God"). Fortunately, the 10-track set—a huge improvement over the Disney Channel star's forgettable 2009 debut—delivers these ho-hum messages in above-average packaging. Opener "Round & Round," co-produced by "Let It Rock" broheim Kevin Rudolf, rides a fist-pumping electro groove, while "Summer's Not Hot" gets a gloriously trashy Eurodance chorus from RedOne, who co-wrote the song. Elsewhere, Gomez goes appealingly emo-disco on the Toby Gad-produced title track. Despite the album's title, dark clouds do appear in the form of "Spotlight," a hookless, fake-dancehall jam, and the snoozy "Ghost of You." But mostly, "A Year Without Rain" is as sunny as advertised.

At least, you get the world on its feet with "A Year Without Rain." A follow-up to "Kiss & Tell," Selena’s gold-certified Hollywood Records debut CD, "A Year Without Rain" shows Selena and her band, The Scene, in a whole new light, this one pulsating, multicolored and ready for the mirrored ball.
"I really wanted something that felt good to perform, but had a techno/dance vibe," Selena says. "I wanted something that had meaning and melody, and more empowering lyrics." That’s exactly what she delivers in "A Year Without Rain." Working with top producer/songwriters like Tim James & Antonina Armato, Kevin Rudolf, Toby Gad and Jonas Jeberg, Selena kept to a more quickened tempo, exploring themes of love, freedom and the joy of living for the moment.

Selena credits the album’s neo-techno leanings to her 2010 platinum-certified single, ‘Naturally," which pointed the way for her. That track "really helped me figure out where I want to be," she says. "There’s a feeling when I perform that song that I love, so when I was going back in the studio, I had a better understanding of where I wanted to be musically."

She gets right to it with the opening track, "Round & Round," an upbeat synth-driven song about reaching the limits of indecision in love. The plaintive "A Year Without Rain" may be more subdued, but its beauty impressed Selena enough to make it the title track. "When I got the song, I went through the roof," she recalls. "Everybody has that one person they can’t live without. It was exactly what I wanted to say." That goes double for the Spanish version of the song, Selena’s first recording in that language.

Disney Channel will present the world premiere of Selena Gomez & The Scene’s music video, “A Year Without Rain,” from their upcoming album of the same title, on FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 3 (10:15 p.m., ET/PT), following the premiere of “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam” and a preview of the new animated comedy series “Fish Hooks.” The single will also debut on Radio Disney and will be available as a digital single and digital video that same day.
The song was written by Toby Gad (“Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam”) and Linda Robbins, and the music video was directed by Chris Dooley, who directed Gomez’s other music videos “Falling Down” and “Naturally,” as well as videos for Scissor Sisters, Marié Digby and David Bowie.
The music video was shot on location in Lucerne Valley, California.

Selena Gomez has announced when she is going to reveal "A Year Without Rain" music video. The "Wizards of Waverly Place" actress took it to her Facebook to share with fans that the visual accompaniment of the second single will be out next week on September 3.

The song is set to appear in Gomez's new studio effort of the same name "A Year Without Rain". For those who are curious about the filming process, behind-the-scene footage of the accompanying video can be obtained in a deluxe edition of the September 28 release.

Beside including video shoot, the deluxe package also adds song remixes and behind the scenes at the photoshoot as bonus features. Fans can start pre-ordering either the standard or deluxe bundle in Selena Gomez's official website.

It’s only August, but Wizards of Waverly Place star Selena Gomez already knows what she wants for Christmas.
"I really want to get Rosetta Stone, because I really need to learn my language," the 18-year-old dished to Latina.com while she was in New York City promoting her new film Ramona & Beezus. Gomez—who is Italian on her mother's side and Mexican on her father's side—loves her fellow Latinos, but admits she occasionally experiences trepidation at Latin awards shows because she’s not entirely confident in her language skills.
"I practice [Spanish], but I can understand it better than I can speak it,” explains Selena. “So in a lot of my interviews that I did recently, they would speak to me in Spanish and I would answer back in English. They were like, 'You pick it up so easily,' but I don’t want to say it in Spanish because I’d be embarrassed if I mess something up."
Like Jessica Alba, and other A-list Latinas before her, Gomez says she doesn’t think you have to speak Spanish fluently to be a "real" Latina. "At first I did," she admits, "but then I started to see all these people that accepted me regardless of the fact that I didn’t speak it."

Romeo Miller, Hollywood’s next leading man is not only celebrating his 21st birthday, he’s bringing awareness and raising funds for children with cancer. Romeo says, “Now that I’m a man, I realize that life is not about how much money you make or the material things you acquire. Life is about love, loving your family, loving others, and loving God by helping others in need. It’s not about what you have but what you do with what you have that matters and that’s why I give.” Romeo recently visited kids with cancer at Children’s Hospital. “There are so many young minority kids with cancer that can’t afford treatment,” he continued. Romeo has teamed up with CureForKidsCancer.org where they provide emotional support for parents, siblings and oncology patients, linking children and families with similar diagnoses and solutions. The program provides fun activities in addition to financial resources for children with cancer and their families.

“The funny thing is, I really don’t like it when people say I’m wholesome. I don’t like that at all!” the 18-year-old actress told HollywoodLife.com at the Teen Choice Awards August 8. “I never said I was that and I never tried to portray it. I’m honestly doing what I feel like I’m doing…and I’d just like to figure out who I am,” she said.

In fact, the Disney starlet would like to model herself after more mature role models and be considered more adult! ” I look up to people my family loves. [My inspirations] are Rachel McAdams and Sandra Bullock,” she confided. “They’re very strong women in the acting world and really real people and I love them.”

As for her future plans, she told us, “We’re developing something for my production company that I’m really excited about and right now I’m focusing on Wizards [of Waverly Place] and hopefully it’s not coming to an end – but you never know.”

Even if we weren’t fortunate we would always give as much as we could, whether it was donating my clothes or going to the food bank, it was always apart of my family.
